Chasing Eclipses and Cider Dreams: We finally made it to Montreal! We were so hyped about catching the eclipse that we practically glued ourselves to the forecast. When the morning of the big event rolled around, we practically leaped out of bed before the sun itself, eager to get the day started. After scarfing down a hearty breakfast to fuel our bodies for the adventure, we made a spur-of-the-moment decision to venture beyond Montreal’s borders and check out The Eastern Townships (Eaton Corner) in Quebec.

With time on our side, we decided to take the scenic route and make a few pit stops along the way. Our first stop was at this adorable apple orchard, where the smell of ripe fruit hit us the moment we stepped out of the car. Of course, we couldn’t resist picking up some fresh cider—it was practically calling our names! And as if one cider stop wasn’t enough, we swung by Saint Benedict Abbey next. Let’s just say we left with more cider (because you can never have too much, right?), plus some apple butter and cheese.

Once we had our fill of cider and snacks, we hit the road again, eager to see what else The Eastern Townships had in store for us. And let me tell you, the sights we saw along the way were absolutely breathtaking. From charming little villages tucked away in the hills to panoramic views that seemed to stretch on forever, every twist and turn of the road revealed something new and amazing.

Sure, our final destination was calling our names, but honestly, it was the journey itself that made the day so unforgettable.
