Discover Singapore in 8 hours!
  1. Singapore Airport: As soon as we stepped off the plane, we were greeted by the beauty of Singapore’s airport. Don’t rush past the floral structures – they offer a delightful introduction to the city’s charm.
  2. Take the MRT: Upon arrival, head straight to the airport MRT station and grab yourself a tourist pass for around $10 USD. Trust me, this will be your best friend for the day. Don’t forget to arm yourself with Google for navigation assistance. Oh, and snap a quick photo of the MRT map—it’s a lifesaver when internet connectivity decides to play hide-and-seek.
  3. Gardens by the Bay, Supertrees: Prepare to be amazed by the Supertrees at Gardens by the Bay. These towering vertical gardens are a sight to behold during the day, but they truly come alive with a mesmerizing display of lights and music after sunset.
  4. Gardens by the Bay, Cloud Forest & Flower Dome: Singapore’s tropical climate can be quite unforgiving, so why not escape the heat by indulging in a visit to the Avatar-themed Flower Dome and Cloud Forest? Yes, it’s a bit of a splurge at $78 USD for two tickets, but trust me, the experience is worth every penny.
  5. Chinatown: After working up an appetite, head over to Chinatown for a gastronomic adventure at the Hawker center. Pro tip: Make sure to bring cash, as many stalls don’t accept cards. Once you’ve satisfied your cravings, take a leisurely stroll through the bustling Chinatown Street Market – you never know what treasures you might find.
  6. Sri Mariamman Temple: Dive into the cultural tapestry of Singapore with a visit to the Sri Mariamman Temple, the city’s oldest Hindu temple. The intricate architecture and rich history make it a truly captivating experience.
  7. Fort Canning Hill: Step back in time as we explored the historical significance of Fort Canning Hill. From ancient artifacts to lush greenery, we got a glimpse into Singapore’s storied past.
  8. Old Hill Street Police Station: Just a short walk from Fort Canning Hill lies the vibrant Old Hill Street Police Station. Its colorful windows are a striking contrast to its colonial facade, making it a must-visit for any architecture enthusiast.
  9. Singapore River Walk/Merlion Park: No visit to Singapore is complete without a stop at the iconic Merlion – the symbol of the city. Take a leisurely stroll along the Singapore River Walk and soak in the stunning views of the city skyline.
  10. Marina Bay Sands: End your day on a high note with a visit to the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark Observation Deck. The panoramic views of the city from this iconic landmark are simply breathtaking. Tickets may set you back around $78 USD for two, but the memories you’ll create are priceless.
